“Magic Pencil” is one of 73 images I created for the book "Nailing Together Bits of Chaos: Jerry-Rigging a Life", poems by Donna Brua. The book is available for sale at my web site http://bitsofchaos.com/books.html
This image was inspired by Donna Brua’s poem "Seeking the Surprise." In the poem the pencil and inspiration are linked with Lepidoptera's silken cocoon and flight.

Seeking the Surprise
My pencil touches paper,
making loops of silky silver spit,
coiling cocoons, awaiting
a burst of wings.

My signature is part of the image and will appear on the final print.
The "fine art America" watermark does not show on the image you purchase. It is only to protect the image online. My images are all copyright protected and are not to be copied or reproduced in any way without written consent.
Here is a link to a video presentation of the first part of my poem "Artist's Bio" with reading and editing by my granddaughter, Amanda Matthews. Wasn't that nice of her. Just click on the title below.
