Artist's Description
Inspired by the early album quilts and in particular the exceptional examples of the Baltimore Album Quilts I saw at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum in Williamsburg this summer--an assemblage of appliqued image blocks, often having some special meaning to the maker and/or the recipient--in the turkey red and poison green popular at the time. My quilt is composed of all the images created for Donna Brua's poetry book "Nailing Together Bits of Chaos=--Jerry-Rigging a Life." see: http://bitsofchaos.com/books.html
My signature is part of the image and will appear on the final print.
